Congratulations to Mr. Ranish Shrestha

We would like to congratulate Mr. Ranish Shrestha, a 12th grade student from Von Steuben Metropolitan Science Center and a general member of Chicagoland Nepali Friendship Society, who is awarded for “The Youth Who Excel Award 2014” granted by The Honorable Jesse White, the Illinois Secretary of State during the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. This award was honored to high school or college students, ages 16-22, from each Asian Community who had shown EXCELLENCE in the following areas;

A. SCHOLARSHIP    B. SERVICE    C. LEADERSHIP   D. CHARACTER

Mr. Ranish was one of them from Nepal to achieve this award. We also would like to wish him for the best of luck for the coming days to achieve such successful moments and for his further study. The award was presented on the presence of Mr. Marvin A. Brustin , Honorary Consul  Consulate General of  Nepal, who was the keynote speaker of the event. The program was hosted by the Asian American advisory council from Chicago, Illinois with 2014 reception chairperson Mr. Bala Ram Ghimire. At the event dozens of Nepali immigrants and immigrants from more than 13 Asian countries were attended.

The event was held on 14th, May 2014 at Thompson center, Chicago. CNFS would like to thank all participants and well-wishers for supporting us. Our special thanks goes to Mr. Bala Ghimire for bringing this opportunity in the community.
