Happy Teej 2070 to all Aama, Didi, Bahini, Bhauju, and respected others in Chicagoland area and beyond. Teej is one of the most famous festivals in Nepal. In this day every women take a Brata (fasting) and pray to Lord Shiva for longer and prosperous life, good health and the best future ahead for their husband. Traditionally, women gather by wearing different kinds of jewels and colorful Sarees, mostly red. They participate singing and dancing all day long in this day. To preserve and celebrate Teej festival in Chicagoland, CNFS is gladly going to organize Teej Program 2070 this year. We request all our Ama, Didi ,Bahini, Bhauju and other to celebrate our great festival “Teej” together in Chicago, where you will be served typical Nepali foods (तीजको दर्), fruits, juice, soft drinks etc. Our Didi Bahini will perform variety of Teej songs and typical dances on the program. If you want to perform your own Teej songs and dances you can bring your songs on CDs or email us your song choices.
